King Concert Hall was filled to near-capacity for the Sept. 21 investiture of Dr. Virginia Schaefer Horvath as SUNY Fredonia’s 13th president. Sixteen highly accomplished student marshals led the processional march into Rockefeller Arts Center.

Faculty and administrators marched into King Concert Hall for the ceremony.
To cap-off the week-long celebration, more than 400 students, faculty, staff and alumni joined together at more than 25 not-for-profit organizations across Western New York to volunteer in a variety of capacities. Some used the professional skills which they have developed at SUNY Fredonia, while others simply lent a hand and some muscle to make a difference.
