Dr. Susan Schweik, daughter of Dr. Robert Schweik, with English Department faculty Adrienne McCormick and Malcolm Nelson. Joanne Schweik, Dr. Schweik's widow, wrote "The ABC Adventure," which was set to music by Ted Frazeur. Professor Frazeur and Bob Schweik were friends and colleagues.

Dr. Mark Karadenes, class of 1953, poses at the Los Angeles Hyatt Regency Century Plaza with professional colleague Dr. Rita Esquivel, Director of the Office of Bilingual Education and Minority Languages Affairs, U.S. Department of Education. Dr. Karadenes is a retired educator and administrator from the California school system.  Through Karadenes and Associates, Inc. consulting firm in Los Angeles, Dr. Karadenes collaborated with Esquivel to procure grants from the U. S. Department of Education.   They were involved in directing grant activities with faculty members at recipient schools and are credited with promoting bilingual education in the Santa Monica, CA area.
