    Having the thesis or dissertation accepted does not mean that the faculty review committee agrees with the student's interpretation of the research data. All it means is that they found the research methodology sound.

    People can legitimately disagree with the conclusions made from your data, but that is not the same thing as saying that findings about the IQ of Hispanic immigrants vs. that of native-born Anglos in a dissertation on are false.
