Hunt for new president underway; Hefner to retire

Presidential medallion Fredonia

The SUNY Fredonia Presidential Search Committee has selected its finalists from an initial pool of more than 50 applicants. The 15-member committee is searching for the replacement of Dennis L. Hefner, Ph.D., who has led SUNY Fredonia as president for 16 years, leaving a legacy that will be historic.  The candidates will be interviewed at a date to be announced. The committee remains on target to reach its initial goal of providing the SUNY Chancellor with their recommendations by mid February. For more on Dennis Hefner's legacy, see the current Statement.
