New president

Virginia Schaefer Horvath, Ph.D.

Dr. Virginia Schaefer Horvath has been appointed by the SUNY Board of Trustees as the 13th president of SUNY Fredonia.

Currently the Vice President for Academic Affairs at SUNY Fredonia, a position she has held since joining the campus in 2005, she was recommended out of a pool of more than 50 candidates and five finalists by a 15-member search committee and SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher.

She will begin serving as president on July 1, becoming the first female president in the Fredonia campus’ 186-year history.

June 9 -- Class of 1962 50th Reunion
Friday, July 6 -- Fredonia Campus School Reunion The first ever Fredonia Campus School reunion will be held on Friday July 6, 2012. All former Campus School students and teachers are welcome to attend.The reunion will be held at the Fredonia Beaver Club at 64 Orchard St. from 7 PM until 10 PM. The evening will be a casual and informal event which will allow for former students and teachers to share their memories and reconnect with former classmates. Light snacks and a cash bar will provided. A charge of $5 per person will be charged to offset expenses.
